As part of our standard, free user account, you can make as many lists as you want with as many categories and items as you like.

Here are a few ideas for how you can use LifeJot to make your holiday gatherings run more smoothly.

Use LifeJot to create your Thanksgiving dinner menu

  1. Make a list called Thanksgiving Dinner
  2. Use categories to separate dishes you are going to make or even spread the work by assigning friends and family members a dish or item to bring

  3. Once you've made the list you can use the email action to send it out to everyone

Use LifeJot to make a Christmas List

  1. Make a list called Christmas Gift Ideas
  2. Make a category for each person on the list

  3. Make items for the gift ideas you have. You can add a link to a website if the item is available on the Internet. This is useful to refresh your memory of what something is or what it looks like.

  4. Send the list to other family members so everyone is on the same page

LifeJot can be used to make all kinds of lists. These are just a small example. Use LifeJot to plan a New Years Eve party, your next birthday party or even use it for a chore list for your kids. The possibilities are endless.

Let us know if you have other list ideas. We're happy to share your story of how you use LifeJot.

Use LifeJot to grow your delivery business!

October 30th, 2007 by jharrison

LifeJot is great for making and saving grocery lists, and you're great at delivering groceries to your customers. We should team up!

LifeJot has been running for a few years now and with our recent overhaul we're getting a TON of great feedback. We can't see just sitting on this and using it for ourselves. We want to share!

We are looking for businesses that provide grocery or other delivery services that would be interested in using LifeJot for their customers. We would like to talk to anyone who would like to consider co-branding with LifeJot, integration with an existing website, or a completely independent version of LifeJot, just for your business.

If you have a business delivering items to customers and would like to talk to use about integration and co-branding opportunities, please contact us.

LifeJot's Changed! What's New?

October 27th, 2007 by jcave

We heard your suggestions and they've finally arrived with the new version of LifeJot.com! We've upgraded and enhanced many old features while selectively adding new ones. We're very excited to hear any feedback you might have. Please tell us your thoughts!

Ability to categorize items

Items in your lists can now be organized by category! Create as many categories as you want to set up your list in a way that's helpful to you. You can rearrange the categories whenever you want with a simple click-and-drag using your mouse.

Ability to have multiple lists

You can now have as many lists as you want and easily view them all on your Lists page. A handy My Lists viewer on the right-hand side of every page also lets you see all your lists and gives you the ability to select your lists to perform actions like Print, Email, etc.

Ability to sort items

You can easily sort the items in each category of a list. Simply drag the item to a new spot in the category and drop it. Items can only be moved within their category with the click-and-drag method. However, you can move an item to a different category choosing to edit the item and selecting a different or new category.

Ability to Copy and Merge lists

Powerful new actions that let you merge and duplicate lists. Merging several lists together is handy for combined shopping trips, or when you have several lists of items you're shopping for at the same time. Copying a list is great solution for setting up a default list to build off of each week. Many people asked for the ability to have a starting list. This should solve that problem. Let us know!

A new look and feel

We hope you enjoy the new look of LifeJot.com! In addition to being nicer to look at, it should help provide you with faster list creation and manipulation. If you need help or have any suggestions, please let us know.
